Also, I could separate these out into a list of Programs and a list of Projects if that makes this more possible. I just want to have the Project/Program Status fields to be displayed either for the program or the project depending on what the user selects. I am hoping I can use the same status field to accomplish this.

Hi - My report has a list of projects and programs - all in one list.

The field 'Type' identifies an item as 'Program' or 'Project'.

The field 'Program Name' identifies which program a project is a part of.

For programs, the field 'Project Name' will equal the field 'Program Name'

The relationship of projects to programs is many to one.

If the user selects a program and no projects, I would like to display the status of the overall program.

When a user selects a program, I would like to display the list of associated projects.

If the user selects a project, I would like to display the individual project status.

I have attached a simplified version of what I am trying to accomplish and would appreciate any ideas.
