Export to Excel not working

Hi,

I am trying to export to excel via the straight table menu option, however the data is not reaching the excel document and instead a XML string is written.

Any Idea!!!

Check the settings in UserSettings in export-tab.

Hii aravind_rajguru,

I'm facing the same problem. But I've downloaded the IE plugin nd in that it's working fine.

In fact in another PC also it's working fine.

So you also try on another PC. Hope it will help you.

The application is used by 25 users in different machines and all of them get the same outcome. However, if I restart the Qlikview (Windows 2008) server, it works fine for a significant time.

Is there any permanent solution to this issue?

Hii aravind,

I overcome this problem by right click on XL button and select the Export option,and save the file name and file type as .csv. And I'm getting more than 6500 data also in .csv.

Hi Neha,

Right click and export to CSV is directly opening the contents in the browser itself. However the error sometime occurs. We only using firefox browser. Can you share which browser you are using?

Seems this occurs if your temp directory has less space.

Looks like this was the problem! There was no Alternative directory specified, therefore it was using the default path, which does not have enough space. I re-pointed the 'Alternate Extensions Path' to a NAS path and is working fine.

I'm using Internet Explorer browser, & it's working fine. And in that it's asking for in which type you have to export Data.
