Help with a Rangesum/before formula

I have a range sum formula that works perfectly in a chart that performs a sliding average based on the previous 3 columns in pivot table chart. The following is the formula

=(rangeavg(before( $(vORDERS,1,3))) / (rangeavg(before( $(vINVOICES,1,3)))

The issue I am having is that when i try and use this formula to plot a bar or line chart I do not get any results. I would be grateful if anyone could let em know what I am doing wrong and if thay have any ideas as to a possible workaround.

hi i think

before is only working in pivotchart

you need to replace the before function with above function
