Change Default Clear Button behavior

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the default behavior of the QlikView Clear button. I do not want to clear all value. Rather, I want it to clear all except the Financial year to Date selections.

I can do it using a Clear All button using actions that clears all and sets certain fields again. But that is a new button and user needs to be told that always use that button and not the top Clear button.

Alternatively...is there anyway I can hide the QlikView Clear button on top, so that user will always use the button I created to clear selections?

Right click the bar and (like in excel, world or any other windows program) customize the tool bar ...

I don't think there is a way to disable the clear button from the toolbar on the accesspoint unfortunately.

do you have a trigger that selects the fiscal year on opening of the qvw? if so you could add another trigger to lock that field, then when the clear button is clicked the field would stay selected..
