Cumulative Partial Sum for Percent calc in pivot table

has anyone has the RangeSum(Above(), 0, rowno(Total)) work in a percentage calc setting?

Current case, is a pivot table with Product Category (vertical) against month sales on the top (across).

I have an expression that compares Actual/Budget as a percent and then cumulates it and also show the Actual and Budget values. The raw values i.e. components of the percent accumulate fine in the pivot table but the Percent expression is not working for the Partial Sum enabled on the Primary dimension ProductCategory

any thoughts?

Hi amirvas,

if i correctly understand your problem then this is a solution,

1.change your chart from pivot to straight table,

2. Then go expression tab highlight the percent expression,

3.Then go to total mode enable the average option,

4.then change your chart from straight table to pivot,

5.Finaly give partial sum to whatever the dimension you want.

Doesn't work. It works on the dimension level but not on the Total line. that's where it disappers. I am thinking it is a limitation of the rangesum(Above, 0, rowno()) methodology. might have to use another way to do this
