topic Horizontal bar chart - Legend above bars? in QlikView

Hey all,

In a horizontal bar chart, is it possible to show legend above indidivdual bars? See in screenshot below (obviously just a quick & appalling Photoshop), where I would like captions 'Buil', 'De' and 'Wa' to appear.

Btw no idea why QV trims my legend in such an awful way, regardless of what I set in Presentation -> Limit Legend (Characters).

Thanks.

There are a few things you can do on the presentation and axis tabs to control the truncation.

Ctrl-Shift allows you to resize and move objects in the chart around.

If your data points are static, you can try adding text to the chart through presentation properties.

Hi,

Neither of that helps, sadly. Our text is not static ('Buil' etc. are all values of a dimension in the underlying data), so adding text via Presentation > Text in Chart will not help.

Any other clues?

Another thing to think about is adding a Dual expression with Value on Data Points. Take a look.
