While trying to provide a simple visual display of status issues relating to sectioned/zoned areas within a manufacturing project, I am looking into the possibility of using a schematic/CAD drawing, showing compartments/rooms/zones, so that each area can be coloured to show a status (Red,Amber,Green) and also so that that area can be selected and a summary table of issues/defects etc can then be displayed based on that selection.

I am looking firstly to see if anyone has attempted this before, perhaps using 'add-in' functions maybe, and then detailed guidance with possible ways to acheive the stated outcome.

Currently developing in v10

Thanks in advance
