Hi All,

Has anyone come up with a way of monitoring the reload engine(s) on qlikview server ? Either via powershell or batch, The issue i am having is that i am not being alerted when the reload engine completely dies, because its the reload engines that apparently trigger the failed reload alerts.

Is there an api or something i can integrate with ?

There is a QMS API: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview-developer/April2019/Content/QV_HelpSites/Home-developer.htm and https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview-developer/April2019/APIs/QMS+API/html/M_PIX_Services_V12_Api2_IQMS2_Ping.htm

However, I would recommend using an external alerting tool for that. If the service is really dead, Qlik will likely not be able to notify since there is no error in return and to avoid potential timeouts.

The other thing would be to use the QlikView Super Agent power tool:

https://community.qlik.com/t5/QlikView-Documents/Power-Tools-1-3-2-for-QlikView/ta-p/1484770

Regards,
Brett
