Hi All, In my office we access internet through a proxy with port 8080. Because of this, I think, the loading of data from web files, is not working. Is there any setting change i have to make for internet access through proxy.

I am also facing the same problem.Can you please guide me on how to access data from Internet in a Qlikview Report using Proxy.I am trying to connect to Salesforce and not able to access my data as there is a proxy on my Local Network.

Hi Richy,

As you I have the same problem but I find out a tip to download web service data.

First go to the file menu, open URL and enter your http address.

Then, go to the script, and try to connect with Web File.

For Google Maps, it's the only way i found out to geocode address.

Yes friend, it works in QlikView 8.2, but does not work in QlikView 9.

And as I'm using it, is complicated.

But I'm looking for solutions, and if you or someone in the community find some, please disclose it.

I work with QV 9 and it works well but i understand it's not a solution only a tip.

I think it does not work for me because I'm using the company's proxy.

And when I try to access any information from the web, it tells the HTTP Error 407 - Authentication Proxy.

I do not know how to solve this, it may be more complicated it would require the User Name and Password field for the QlikView can connect to the Internet.

I'm not sure.

Hi there.

Having the same problem with an Application using google maps API.

Think the problem is the required authentication on the MS-ISA-Server. Already added the QV-Server user (domain user) to the authorized internetuser with full access...

Hi,

I had a similar issue with GoogleMaps and Qlikview. The solution was to change the Qlikview Server service to run as a named user with internet access.

But as written above I've already given the user full access to internet. Must be something with the authentication procedure with MS-ISA

Hi there.

Got the solution for this problem.

You need to login once with the user the server is running on and set the proxy config in his IE-Settings.

After that, all things working perfectly.

I think the solution to my problem is not in this between them because I'm not running the application through the QlikView Server, but only through the QlikView 9.0 Developer Edition SR 2, so the application runs on the local machine.

Hi,

Easiest is to make a batch file that downloads the data from web and stores it locally. Than QlikView loads the local file. You can schedule the batch file as "external task" from QEMC

This is cleaner than logging in with the account running the QV service and setting the proxy in Internet Explorer.

Hi,

I have encountered the same problem with the 11.2 SR6 and I experimented a lot before finding the solution.

In the QV desktop, the Internet access settings are retrieved from the default browser.

In my case, I couldn't display a map via URL on OpenStreetMap --> Dynamic image in the background of my bubble chart remained blank.

I solved this problem by changing a setting in Internet Explorer (my client is still using an older version, 6.0).

In the IE menu : Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced, you must check the option "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connection" under "HTTP 1.1 settings".

Hello p4designer,

I wanted to let you know that our development company are are working on this problem and are developing a solution which will be ready in a few weeks. We are building an authentication server which will bypass the issue of the port incompatibility between Qlik and corporate firewalls.

Hopefully we can get it up on the Qlik Market, but if it doesnt go up there get in contact with me and i'll send you the details.
