I believe yes. But not straight forward need to set up the high and low values and based on these need to use color mix. Refer here if this helps

Heat Map

Hi,

I develop a series of KPI reports for the company I work for.. Of course it's always easier for me to create in Excel as I can make the reports very tailored, and simply put formulas into cells.

But I was wondering if building reports like the below are possible:

(I have sensored the data)

As you can see there is a lot of conditional formatting going on, and sumifs all over the place. Basically what you do is select a Country from the big pink box, and then it displays the top selling resorts for that country (Largest to Smallest).

The 2019 figures are the number we have sold cumulatively as-at each date displayed above... and then compares against the same figure from last year for 2018. And then shows a variance between the two (conditionally formatted to highlight if we started trading behind at any point).

Any my question is, are reports like this possible using QlikView? Or am I just dreaming.

Easy solution is obviously having QlikView build big data tables for me to paste into my spreadsheet.

Appreciate any advice on this one.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Refer attachment to view the sample qvw.

Refer the expression to look at how to set Current Year Data and Last Year Data.

Next, you can get the Variance using the above columns.

Select the sorting tab to check how to sort a dimension using expression.

In this case, when you select a Country, the Entity should be sorted in descending order (highest to lowest sale).

For the Color Conditions, go to Visual Cue and select Variance to check how to customize the color condition.

Thanks and regards,

Arthur Fong
