Question about Left Join

Hi,

I have a general question, to understand the left join.

If my first table1 is filled with following fields: ID, A,B,C

and the second table2 has two fields: ID, Z

and I make a: left join (table1) Load ID,Z Resident table2;

Will this work , to the first table the field Z will be properly joined ? Or do I need in my second table also the fields A,B,C?

Yes it will work.

It will join table on ID field.

Yes in this scenario it will get join on ID field and you will get single table.
