Cannot add new document in qlikview

only thing I did different was I tried installing nPRINTING that failed due to cmpatibility issues. Since then I am not able to add any new document and top design menu is gone.

You can solve the problem by following these steps if you are running Windows XP:

start -> run -> regedit
open the following key: hkey_current_user\software\qliktech\qlikview\toolbar 7\
inside this key you will find this key: State-Bar0
you will find the parameter: Visible which should be set to 0
delete the Visible parameter

You can solve the problem by following these steps if you are running Windows Vista:

Click on start and type "run" into the search text box at the bottom of the window and hit enter
Click on Run at the top of the search results
Type regedit into the text box that opens when you click on run
open the following key: hkey_current_user\software\qliktech\qlikview\toolbar 7\
inside this key you will find this key: State-Bar0
you will find the parameter: Visible which should be set to 0
delete the Visible parameter
