Is there a way to exclude specific tables when reloading data, but keep the data that is not Reloaded?

for example, i have tables for each year of data going back 3 years. For years prior to current, the data will never change, yet every time we update current data, we have to reload the prior years.

possible to not reload, but keep the data?

thanks.
