Hi, I have a .txt file with about 1.4 million records. When I imported the data into QV 8.5 not all data is getting loaded. About 150,000 records did not get loaded. I tried to split the files and load two files using the "concatenate load" method. This process loaded more records than the original exercise but, again, not all records were loaded. Any ideas on how to ensure that all the 1.4 million records would get loaded? Thanks in advance. Ashish

Did you receive any kind of error message?

at the end of your from line try changing 'msq' for 'no quotes'.

no error message. The process completes gracefully.

I tried your suggestion. The process stops at the exact same line as before.

Hi,

I had the same problem once... in my particular case the problem happened because same lines hasn´t the break lines at the end... so I´ve changed the character set from ANSI to UTF-8 and then the proble has been fixed.

But.. if it not works try to upload your Txt files so we can help you to fixed...

Hi all,

I figured out the problem. There was a funny character in some of my records. When I removed the character, QV loaded the data correctly.

The funny character is the last but one character in the Japanese string given below.
