Join table, resident table

Hi, I'm quite new to QlikView and am having some problems with a particular join statement.

Will the following cause problems for QlikView?

JOIN(Claim)
LOAD claimNumber,
authNumber&EpisodeNumber as comorbid_claim_link
Resident Claim;

Should I rather do something like:

Temp:

LOAD claimNumber,
authNumber&EpisodeNumber as comorbid_claim_link
Resident Claim;

Join(Claim)

LOAD claimNumber,
authNumber&EpisodeNumber as comorbid_claim_link
Resident Temp;

Drop table Temp;

maintable:

load

field1,

field2

from x.qvd(qvd);

left join(maintable)

load

field1,

field3

resident restable;
