You can generate java classes for the QV.exe API by using a tool like COM2JAVA or COM4J. Then it's just a matter of writing java code that uses the classes in a similar manner to the VB script.

-Rob

http://masterssummit.com

http://qlikviewcookbook.com

Hi All,

We already know that Document Analyzer helps us in getting the Structural metadata when we assign the path of a QlikView application in that.

I have a requirement where I don't want to use QlikView to extract metadata but a Java application to do that.

In Document Analyzer when we click on Extract Metadata the data is extracted and in the following tabs we are able to see the complete details.

This 'Extract Metadata' has a macro written in VB. Is there any body knows how to run the same code in Java. (JS).

Please help.
