How to Pass Active Object ID to a Button to enable the conditional show of it

Hi Gurus,

I am struck in a situation where there are two charts placed in a container and on selection one of the charts i need to see a button show when the chart is activated.

Can i know how to get the object Id and pass it to the conditional show so that the button is show only when the sheet with that object Id is active.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no such feature available as of now. There is no function which returns current chart displaying in Container. Instead of container you can use buttons to show and hide the charts similarly how a Container works so that you have more control over the charts and with this you can do this easily.

can we use a macro and get the object id of the chart in container and pass it variable so that i can use the variable directly.

Surendra,

I am little bit confused that You want this conditional show hide on a button or activated sheet.

On sheet activated you can set a trigger for a particular object id by using set variable & same you can try for a button.

Let me know what exactly you want?

Sorry,

if i mistyped it. i have a container Object in which i have couple of charts and on selection a particular chat a button should be shown untill then the button should be in Hidden State.

So Based on the Activated Object i need to Conditionally show the Button.

Surendra,

Agreed with Jagan. As of now no such feature is avail for Containe or Chart object.

On button you can have action but not on Container and Chart object.

Hi Surendra,

That is what we are saying that there is no function or trigger to get or set the object id displaying in Container.
