Hi,

Qliklets are built and run using an SDK and platform which we are currently developing and experimenting with internally.

They require a QlikView application to be built first containing the data and objects. The Qliklet is then built using JavaScript/html/css and our special SDK. Finally the Qliklet is deployed on a 'Qliklet Server' (which connects to a QlikView Server instance) which runs the instance.

The Qliklet framework takes care of much of the work needed in running widgets in different environments. For example generating the correct metadata for environments such as iGoogle/Google Desktop as well as advanced tracking of interaction with the widget to Google Analytics.

As a side effect we are also finding they provide a neat way of building QlikView powered websites for devices such as Android and iPhone (http://www.qlikster.com/post.aspx?id=51fd1b84-2e5e-4593-8c41-ed93ac68baad) quickly and easily.

If you would like more information or are interested in building your own please feel free to contact me directly and I can keep you up to date on developments.
