    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;The IF statement is part of QlikView Engine. So using the Preceding Loading feature is really transparent what Database Server you use.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ie:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;QlikViewTable:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;LOAD code, IF (flag="Y","YES","NO") as FLAGGED;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and then&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SQL SELECT code,flag from SybaseTable;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Note above that the preceding loading means the LOAD is just before the SQL statement and terminated with semicolon ; just before the SQL keyword.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
