how to send SQL database file to other for test my script

Hi All

I am.learning about how to use QV for read SQL data file. And when I encounter some issue . I need other to reload my SQL database file . May I know how to do it ?

For text file I can just file attachment with QV QVW file.

Hi,

once you have read the data file, you can store it as a qvd file using the STORE command and you can just send your qvd_file as an email attachment.

If you have trouble with the original data file, that's a bit different, it would depend on what kind of database you have - the other person doesn't have access to your database, then?

Hi Sir

I am using SQL Server 2008 R2

My SQL raw data file have a filed name which is REJECT _ CODE which only have number.

I need to add load script with ApplyMap for recode them to description.

If I save the file as QVD does it work as SQL ?

Hi,

no, qvd is a QlikView-internal file format, nothing to do with SQL.

=> if you have trouble with the SQL_SELECT itself, that is another matter, you would have to somehow make that original data_file available to your tester - or give him access to the database.

What is your issue in particular? Maybe someone here can help.

And what is your issue with ApplyMap?
