Hi,

When I am applying section access, only the UserId of Admin is able to login, but when i try to log in from the other users, it says access denied. Can you help me out with this.

Is other user password entered which is correct?

Is window authentication ?

Hi Umar,

I section access table fields colums and values are Upper case.if possible post section code .

is there a restriction on field values for the Users?

Hi Umar,

If You are able to login using admin access ten,

1.Take backup of your script.

2 change all your passwords.

3Reload the script

Can you post your Section Access Script?

make sure you have used Uppercase in your fields, otherwise it may not work properly. Something like:

LOAD
ACCESS,
UPPER(USERNAME) AS USERID,
UPPER(PASSWORD) AS PASSWORD,
UPPER(ACCESSTO) AS ACCESSTO
FROM ....

Yes Mayil, the user password entered are correct. but the message says "Access denied to this Qlikview document'

Hey Angel and Perumal, i tried ur way of converting all fields to uppercase. It still is giving the same problem.

Hi Umar,

Pls write Admin as ADMIN and User as USER and check. (upper case). I do not know whether u already did that or not.

Hopefully use this

LOAD * INLINE [

ACCESS, USERID, PASSWORD, Sheet

ADMIN, admin, admin, *

USER, abc, def, SH06

USER, def, ghi, SH05

USER, ghi, jkl, SH01

];

Instead of a Sheet can you use a Data Field to do this Section Access?

Hi Umar,

The problem might be with the sheet ID ur using, check with it once. ROLE is same as ACCESS.

If you still face problem please post ur app, will check and provide you the solution.
