Calendar and Data model with Star Schema

Hello All,

I want to ask you about the suitability of a Calendar implementation for a Dimensional Table.

Because I am thinking if I should move date fields to a dimensional tables from the fact table and do this approach. But if I do this, I am going to have a Snowflake schema.

So my question if it's better have most of the dates in the fact table even if they will fit better in a dimension, to have a Calendar implementation.

In that discussion there is an interesting Calendar Pattern, but I can't see a reference about the difference to develop the calendar for a Fact Table or for a Dimensional table already related with a Fact table (creting a snow flake schema).
