Solved - database issue..Script stops when importing qvd and data from access

Got a Qlikview file which I use to compare data. Data from previous years are stored as qvd's and data from this year is stored in access.

All files/data are stored in the same server/directory

The file works fine on my pc and my co workers pc. We have the same pc model "Dell optiplex 790"

windows xp pro version 2002 service Pack 3.

But when I open the file on two other pc's - Dell Optiplex 760 (windows xp pro version 2002 service Pack 3) and rund reload - the program freezes.

We have the same version of Qlikview 11.01 - The machines are identical regarding software / setup -

Any Ideas? What is causing the problem on the older pc (optiplex 760)??

Ist you fetching data then

Store file In qvd then after making qvd you sure that you reload data ????

Hey

Yes – I got data from access and from qvd’s

When I open qlikview file on my pc it runs fine – I reload and I data from qvd’s and access are imported without any problems.

When I do the same on my older dell pc – (same configuration) Qlikview freezes.. Can’t figure out what should be causing this error

qlikview setup is seperate for 32bit machine and 64 bit machine.

so check the machine and qv setup.

hope this is the problem.

Sounds like you may be running ou of RAM. Start the windows task manager when you are oing the reload and watch the memory consumption of the qv.exe process when the reload is running. Compare this memory use to the amount of RAM on the machine. Perhaps the failing machines do not have big enough paging files allocated.

Just went through our access database. It seems our it guro has made changes in the database. Old pc has and old version of the database - different headers.
