Create Time Filter - Last Month, Last n months, ytd based on date field.

Hi,

I'm trying to create a time filter in the form of a list box with 3 options - 'YTD', 'Last month' and 'Last 6 months'.

This has to be calculated based on date field in file, which is in YYYYMM format.

I'm able to create separate columns for each value using today() function and comparisons, but I need those 3 options in the same column so that I can put it in a single list box.

For now i have created a column using inline Load, and filtering using set analysis, but its easier to be able to filter off of the date field itself.

Please let me know if there are any suggestions.

Hi Sheetal,

The approach you are using is the best one for this condition, because there is no way according to me to have all three values in single field.
