I hate to sound like a support guy (is your pc plugged in,etc...).

I have only seen similar occurances when I inadvertantly either left the word 'MAPPING' off the LOAD statement when creating the Map table or I misspelled the Mapping Table name when using the APPLYMAP function.

I know they seem like obvious things to check but you just never know. Sometimes when you stare at something too long the simple things get missed.

/emb

Hi,

I'm facing a problem with the mapping load command, a problem that I have never seen before. When doing a normal mapping load/applymap sequence, the mapping table is dropped from the table view, but instead both fields are mapped into the primary table in full. [*-)]

I end up with my original table including both fields from the mapped table, but they are completely separated from both each others and the primary table. I can select values from both fields, but there is no relation to the other fields, so not limitation of data whatsoever.

Has anyone come across this problem before?

BR

Robert
