How to Integrate Informatica with Qlikview

I am trying to Integrate Informatica with Qlikview. Any idea what is the Qlikview connector I should be using?

I also need to know the process which I need to follow to view the "Import from Qlikview" option in Informatica. Any leads on this would be really helpful.

Hi Pranati_Rao,

we used the informatica connector. You need to download the conenctor and install it on the Informatica side.

It is actually an Export connector for Informatica. Meaning you can select the Data Structures in Informatica that you want to export to QVX Files.

You can download the connector over the QlikView download site and from there on the installation is straightforward.

Thanks for the information,Gert. Can you tell me what the connector is called? I am also looking at the procedure as to how to do it - what registries in Informatica side need to be kickstarted once this connnector is downloaded and where is the path I need to put in the library files. Thanks!

Hi Pranati,

if you go to the Download.qlik.com site and you click the tab connector you will find the "Informatica Qonnector".

Download the right version and in the download package you will find the qonnector but also the user guide how to install the qonnector. From there on you will be able to install it.

When I login to the site, I dont see a connector tab. Takes me to download Qlikview which I already have in my machine.

Hi, Am not sure,

Default you come onto the Personal edition download. If you then logon with your Partner Account you should be able to see all the content. Meaning you have the possibility to download all the QV Software.

If you do not see anything after login in I would suggest to Shortly contact your PartnerManager and let them change your User Rights.

Hi Pranati,

you can see informatica connector in download section if and only if your ID belongs to customer or partner.

Hey Gert, thanks for the follow up. I am still in the process of procuring the connector from my company's POC who has a partner login. We dont have direct access to it. He would be sending me the connector to do the integration. Just a question on that note, how big is the connector file?

Hi Pranati_rao,

The total Zip File is around 3.5 Mb. The Installer (qonnector) itself is around 1.7 Mb big.

So really not that big.
