LoadBalancer.xml Error

Hi everyone,

I'm getting an odd error when trying to update some qvw files using Distribution Service. I get the following error message in the logs for several of my application reloads:

Error Exception=System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\LoadBalancer.xml' is denied.

It's also strange that I'm not getting this error on all the dashboard reloads using the Distribution Service.

Has anyone experienced this error before? Search on the web had yielding nothing on the topic.

Things you can check, user running the services is a local server admin, UAC is disabled, also check for errors in the windows event viewer.

Hi Scott.

It’s quite hard to tell based on so little information. Try to exclude the folder from the virus scan and. What are you running on the server more than QDS??

Hello,

If you launch QVDistributionService.exe from a cmd command line, you have to open Command with option "Run as Administrator" to get privileges to execute it.
