topic Adding VBScript in QlikView

When you say 'reports' I assume you mean a Qlikview document (rather than a report from a QLikview document)?

You can use VBS (or JScript) from many places - as an action from a button for instance, the trigger to an event etc etc. You can enter the module from many places including 'Tools' / ctrl-m or from the design toolbar > edit module.

There are a few caveats that make macros a poor choice sometimes as they generally impact performance etc (they clear caches for example) but they do have their place. Qliktech are replacing many typical uses of macros with built-in actions now.

Regards,

Gordon

I am fairly new to QlikView, but I have seen a lot of posts and other material on the web about adding VBScript to QV reports. Where exactly is that done? Are there events that can be exposed and code added to? I am using QV v9.3.

Thanks
