Number of Fields In OMIT

Hi,

in a section access, the OMIT function allow to have security on a column of the DataModel.

Everything is working fine when I use less than 4 fields in the OMIT Column.

If i want to hide 4 fields of my application, it becomes to be impossible to open the qlikview application anymore.

Is there a maximum number of fields or is it a bug ?

If you ever reduce the data so much that the user cannot see any data, then the application will not open.

Is there a specific field which is causing the application to not open anymore? Or is it any 4, in any order?

Hi,

I don’t think there is a bug with this functionality. I’ve used it in the past and it worked fine. Are you trying to OMIT Key Fields? What is the cardinality of the data within OMIT fields?

It’ll be good if you can post a sample QVW file.

Hi,

i've just posted an example.

with admin/admin :no value in the OMIT column --> OK

with user/user : 4 Fields in the OMIT Column --> KO

with user2/user2 : 1 Field in the OMIT column --> OK

This is very strange, because when i create a new application, i don't achieve to repeat this error.
