Issue while loading data from excel

Issue: Trying to load data through an excel table. Table has 2 fields(A,B), around 150 records. The 2nd field(B) shows 0 value for all 150 records when loaded in qlikview (Also thru transformation), although you can see the real numbers when opened an viewed through excel in the same field. Important: If you open the xls file and just re-save it as is, and then reload, the issue is not seen. Cant send over the file, as the data is highly confidential. If I scramble/save and send, the issue no longer exists Qlikview: 9.0 SR7 Excel: 2007 Please assist, if any one knows the root cause and solution. Regards, Siddharth

Check your cell formatting, i.e. Numerical vs Text etc... try to load it as a XLSX file type.

The funny thing is, if you make any sort of changes to the file like:

opening and saving as is

renaming file

The issue doesnt exist anymore. Wondering if it has to do with the upstream system that creates this file.

Any comments?
