Slow extraction on AS400

Hi all,

I'm using AS400 as a datasources and currently I'm facing a bad performance when qlikview extract data from AS400, one table only.

This table have 65 of column and around 8million of records, the extraction will took around 6 - 8 hours.

Questions:

1. Is the cause because of the number of columns?

2. or network? because AS400 is not in the same server.

3. The ODBC driver version? which version is the best?

4. How to optimized the extraction time?

Hi,

Better schedule a data transfer from AS/400 to Qlikview server and then access the data locally. So do we.
