topic Connection to Avaya database? in QlikView

I'm trying to connect to our Avaya database through qlikview. I'm trying to use the OLE DB for SQL like I do for our other databases, but it won't connect. I keep getting a message that says "[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied." I can however log onto our server directly with the credentials that I am using. If anybody can help me access our database through qlikview I would appreciate it!
