Qlikview ODBC connection error with Oracle 11g

Hello,

I tried to connect ODBC (Oracle_11g_ODBC_Driver) with Qlikview 10.

I use 64-bit windows for Windows 7; however, Qlikview 10 only allows me to connect ODBC with 32-bit administrator.

Anyway, I got an error msg below:

ErrorCode 12170, ErrorMsg [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]Ora-12170: TNS: Connect timeout occurred.

How can I handle with this problem?

Have you tried the 64bit QlikView version? It works great with ODBC/OLEDB and Oracle 11g.

Can you connect from the server to Oracle without Qlikview?

Ora-12170 usually means that database doesn't answer I would first connect from the server to the database without Qlikview to avoid firewall, listener, network and database problems.
