Replace substring in all fields

Hi all,

I have a data set that has been screwed up with incorrect encoding before it got to me. The result is that all fields (there are 70+ of them!) have some incorrect characters - e.g. & instead of &

Instead of using REPLACE(fieldname,'&','&') on every field, is there a way of globally replacing these?

Hi Jason,

If I've understood correctly, your source data has been screwed up?

Is it excel, database, qvd?

I would suggest to clean up the source data before reload them into QlikView.

Hi Janusz, thanks for responding.

I would fix up the data (csv file) in WordPad or similar, except that it is data provided by a supplier and is refreshed daily. I would have to fix it up each day (until they fix their systems which I can't wait for), so I'd like to do it in QV during the daily reload.
