Hello again Vlad,

From what you have mentioned I have forgotten those "users" folders. Next time QV fails to get the license i will try that procedure (actually the last 3 days it has worked pretty well, i hope it keeps going).

Thanks for all your help and availability.

Regards,

J.

QV 10 License lease?

Well, I keep having problems with QV10. At first the bookmarks: you can't delete them on accesspoint...

Now in my personal edition I keep losing my license and I'm not able to get it back when doing the open in server (I can access all my docs and open them but it just keeps being a personal edition so I'm not able to edit the documents I have created on the server...).

Just yesterday, following a post around here and trying everything I could remeber, I deleted all my pgo's and after 3 re-starts it finally worked, so that doesn't seem a good solution if it's going to happen everyday.

Anyone has a better solution to get my license lease back?

Did you by any chance upgrade your Desktop from 9 to 10? I've seen this wreak havoc with all sorts of issues, including license leases. If it was an upgrade, I would suggest doing a full uninstall (including deleting all QV programdata folders and registry keys). Then reinstall--in the past, that's fixed most QV10 Desktop problems for me.

Regards,

Hello Vlad,

Thanks for your quick answer.

I did upgrade and, yes, I did a full uninstall (including all QV folders and registry keys) but I still keep having the problem.

Don't mind me asking, but why do people suggest their own answers, shouldn't be the others evaluating them?

Thank you anyway.

Regards

Nathan >>

jbeleza >> I suspect you didn't do a full uninstall. There are a lot of hidden folders you need to find. Here are the ones I can think of off the top of my head:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikView
C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView (may need to go through multiple usernames)
C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView (may need to go through multiple usernames)

Registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\QlikTech\QlikView

I also suggest doing a search on your registry for "qlik" and deleting all references to the old QV installation. Before you do any of this though, make sure you do a regular uninstall from Control Panel.

Regards,
