Hi,

I have a fixed record file with utf-8 as char set. Then i try to set the fixed record limits in the wizard, just like with any fixed size file. But when a row got special characters like 'å,ä,ö' in it, the whole row gets messy and is moved one step to the right, while rows with no special characters in them stays normal.

I understand that this is becuase UTF-8 and unicode uses variable storagesize for different characters so that the normal ascii-signs uses 8 bits while Å,Ä and Ö uses 16 bits - but isnt qlikview supposed to be able to handle that, or is there some kind of setting that I havent set correct that creates this problem.

That really sounds like a bug. Try QlikView support.
