Hi,

I wanted to know how best I could use Qlikview for the following task:

I have 6 Dimension tables and 1 fact table (FactSales) .

1.DimTransactionType

2.Dimgeography (for origin geography id)

3.Dimgeography ( for destination geography id)

4.Dimproduct

5.Dimsupplier

6.Dimtime

FactSales has the following keys and a few measures:

1. Id

2. OriginGeographyID

3. DestinationGeographyID

4.SupplierId

5. ProductID

6. TransactionTypeId

7. ConsignmentTimekey

How can I create a qlikview report with list boxes for the supplier id, product id, supplier name and product name, such that when i click on a particular product, i can get the corresponding supplier names as well? Also, I would want the corresponding origin and destination countrynames displayed for a transaction type ( which included airways, roadways etc information)

Hi Deepa,

In QlikView, Whenever it finds "liked name" (same field name) in different tables, it will try to join automatically. In your case, you just load the table, so that QlikView will make links/joins between Fact & dimension table automatically. After reloading the data, when you make selection in your application, it will show the related data for the selection.
