Using a Filter to Exclude

I'm looking to use a filter backwards. Basically I have a list of DRG codes that I would like to exclude when the client selects the filter. I have already created the 'Exclude' column in the backend of my data. I now have a filter called - Universal Exclusion with the option to select 'Exclude'. My idea is when my client selects Exclude the DRG will then get excluded from the data instead of filtering to only show those DRG codes. Basically I'm trying to force the filter to work backwards.

Does anyone know a good way to do this?

And if you try to add in text object an Action / Selection/Select Excluded?

Ideally I'd like this as a filter not a text object.
