New Database connection error

Hi Everyone,

Recently we have upgraded to new database SQL server . After the upgradation of new SQL server the jobs are getting failed in QMC.

I have changed the data source name while connecting from OLEDB in QVW script. example( before Data Source=AA001 now changed to AA002).

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,

I recommend you to try and recreate the connection string. Maybe you need to use a different driver or different settings to connect to the new DB.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using new ODBC connection now. I have created a qvw. When I run this manually, it works perfectly fine, however when I setup the scheduled task in QMC and then run it, it fails.

You must ensure the QDS service account has access to the OLE DB driver etc. It would appear something is not configured correctly for the QDS/QVB processes to access the Connector to make the connection to the DB. What is appearing in the Task and Document logs when you run things via the QMC?
