Gant Chart

I'm creating a project progress chart with the idea to have it look like a Gant Chart and got it working with just the Start and End of the entire project. I'm now trying to add the phases of the project, to do this I'm assuming i will need to use either if statements or Set Analysis due to the way the data source is arranged in the spreadsheet

I've tried using the following expressions

=if(Activity_Name = 'Commence Project',Date(Max(Finish)-Min(Start) +1),)

and =Sum({<Activity_Name = {'ID1 Approved'}>}Date(Max(Finish)-Min(Start)))

but neither are working.

any guidance would be much appreciated.
