Using Variable on set analsys

Hallo,

i'm trying to build expression using set analsys for specific variable value but didnt succeed.

i didnt find anything similar on furom:

for ex:

i want to sum( Amount_USD) only for vLineDesc='A':

i try this but its not working....

Sum(${<$(vLineDesc)={'A'}>}Amount_USD)

i'll appriciate your help.

variable aren't connected to the data

so using them in set analysis want do anything for your calculations

set analysis is practically making selections in the data ,

so you need to use a field in your set analysis

Moti, have a look at the following Design Blog post, there are subsequent links to other posts at the bottom of this one, just FYI, hopefully this may be helpful to you in getting things sorted out on this one. You may need to attach a sample application otherwise, so folks can see exactly what you are doing in relation to your data model and the variable in question.
