How to show selections on a detached chart

Hey guys,

I have come across a problem. I have a bar chart with some dimensions. I have detached this chart and when I click on a certain bar my

table chart changes. But if I change my dimensions by making selections from a listbox. My barchart (because it's detached) remains.

Now I was wondering if there was a way somehow to still keep my barchart detached but have it dynamic by making selections from a listbox.
I'm new to qlikview so I don't know much about the possibilities.

Hi,

Hope I understood you question properly.

You can do this by suppressing the selection using the set analysis.

In my application i have PRODUCT, REGION, SALES and i have created Dummy filed from PRODUCT as PRODUCT_NEW.

ANd i`m using PRODUCT_NEW as my dimension and suppressing the selection on the same.

if you select Product & Region, selection affects the chart. if you select PRODUCT_NEW selection wil not affect the chart.

Have a look at the attached application. Hope this may help you.

Hey Sridhar,

Thanks for your solution. However it didn't help my case and the problem still remains.

The problem is that I want to remove the click functionality of my chart but still keep it dynamic.

So that if I change my value in the listbox that the chart changes accordingly but if you click on a bar that I doesn't go any further (like it does when a chart is detached)

ALL help is still welcome

If you go to the chart properties there a checkbox Read Only on the General tab.
I guess that's what you're looking for.
