Document Chaining through search box

Hi All,

I have been trying to figure out a way to do document chaining from a search box field selection(pass URL. I know urls can be passed from button click or through macros, but neither buttons are used here (field selected on search box) and macros are not allowed in our organization, I was wondering if we can have an action to pass url just based on a field selection alone, based on a condition without macros?

There is no any trigger to do such redirect. But you can use textbox with dynamic URL:

Yes, you need to do two clicks - search and go. But whis workaround seems to me less painfull.
