    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried to install an Email Alerting for Failed Tasks recently. So I set up the Mail Server Details in System -&amp;gt; Setup -&amp;gt; Mail Server. I restarted QlikView Server (Distribution + Directory Services).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Result:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Test Email works fine&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Automatic Emails, after a Task fails doesnt work: Prompting following Error:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;Information: Sending Alert mail

Warning: Failed to send mail to&amp;nbsp;XXXXXXXXXXXXXX&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;P&gt;How can I fix this? What is the difference between a Test and a Automated Email?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in Advance&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi, in QMC -&amp;gt;setup -&amp;gt; Qlikview server -&amp;gt; alerts you have to set the address where the aletrs will be sent.&lt;BR /&gt;Is this the same address as the test address?</description>

      <description>Test email is send by management service, while task mail is sent by distribution service.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This happened to me once and I did what this article says:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.qlik.com/articles/000016485" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.qlik.com/articles/000016485&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In particular this step:&lt;BR /&gt;change the QVDistributionService.exe.config that is located at C:\Program Files\QlikView\Distribution Service. You will need to change &amp;lt;add key="UseSSLForSMTP" value="false"/&amp;gt; from false to true.</description>
