QlikView 12 Personal Edition 64 bit installation failed

Hi all,

I am trying to install qlikview 12 personal edition but somehow it is giving me error in the end of installation

error is :restricted software policy

Can any one help me in that.

Hi Manu,

Is this happening to your personal or your company laptop? If is the second scenario did your IT check if there is any GPO policy blocking the installation of .exe files. did you try to install another software?

To Albert's point, the actual error is not in what you pasted into the chat here. What I normally do is open the install log in NotePad++ or your favorite editor and run a search for the word 'Error' as that should get you to the actual error that is occurring somewhere before the end, as there will be a bunch of rollback entries between the error and the end of the log. At the actual error is your best bet to get some additional information that may help. The only other thing would be to try the Run as Administrator option if you did not do that when you ran things.
