Hi,

I know this is not exactly a Qlikview question...

I am on a 64 bits windows environment. I´d like to use OLEDB for Oracle but I have some trouble installing the client.

I got a client from Oracle but there is no installer. Apparently, I should only edit windows Path, but it is not working.

Have anyone one done this before? Any clues?

Hi Erich,

You need to get the Oracle Data Access Components (or ODAC) which do have an installer and will allow you to install the 64bit OLEDB driver.

You should be able to download this from the Oracel download site.

BTW, I have used ODAC 10.2 successfully in the past (this was the first, I think, that had 64 bit available). I think that the 11g ODAC is embedded in the Developer Tools for Visual Studio.
