This same script works in QV11

Copy this file to a "normal" drive and try it again. If it not worked open and save the file with Excel and try it again. This is just to rule out issues with the sharepoint and/or an invalid file-structur.

you mean

1) put same file to diff drive and try

if doesn't work

2) change xlsx to xls and try

Is the report being run by the same user in QV11 and QV12?

Or is one version on a desktop and one on a server?

If it is being run on a server reload, does the account running the QlikView Distribution Service have permissions to access the sharepoint folder and xlsx file?

1 - yes, I meant to try it from a real drive and not from a website like sharepoint which might lead to various issues which aren't related to Qlik.

2 - no, just opening and saving the file with a desktop Excel without any change within it or to the fileformat. Files created by an online Excel or any third party tools could be different to an origin Excel file.

I have a similar issue in Qlik Sense. I have synchronized Sharepoint to local folders both in rim and central nodes. When I run data load in the data load editor, everything goes well. But when I reload using a task (rim node) I see the very same message: Error: Unknown error in xlsx file. I have granted access to the user in the Qlik Sense Services to the folders and files in it. The error happens with all the files. I have around 3,7k Excel files. All worked well when I was running Qlik Sense with May 2022 version. But after upgrading to May 2024, everything became more difficult and new errors started to appear whilst before all tasks run seamlessly.
