Hi,

i have HR dept , whrere we created a AD group for HR dept, In HR dept, we have senior HR's and junior HR's.

Now in QMC i have already given this AD group so that all HR users able to see the dashboards in access point.

but now my problem there are few dashboards where only senior HR's have to see the dashboard in the access point, not the junior HR's.

Junior HR's should not see the dashboard in access point at all even though they r in the AD group.

Admin is telling we are not creating two AD groups separately.
Try to do it in back end script giving restrictions.

Please help how to restrict junior Hr's not see the dashboard in access point at all.....

By what field you'd like to restrict the Jr HRs?

Normally you can restrict by using Section Access by using a field...

Do you have such field?

If there is no such field then use Sheet IDS?

No i want to restrict completely the document itself so that they cant see the dashboard in access point.

simply do not assign Document CAL to those specific users.

I think you may have to hard code the user names.

It would be easier for you to have 2 AD groups as you said earlier... it would save lot of work.

Ask your ADMIN to get a grip and do his job.

But instead of giving document cal, is there any procedure to restrict in script.

When you say document you mean a sheet or whole app?

If it is a sheet use the links I gave above.

If it is whole app then don't assign them doc cals or create another AD group if don;t want to hard code.

Not sure if there is any other way or some other expert can help you in this.

Do not assign the Document Cals.

Just assign to your Sr HR members (type in the Ntnames or user id etc)

Hi all,

In the same AD group , both Senior HR's and Junior HR's users are there. I dont want split the AD group into two and create a separate AD group for both each.

In the script can we restrict senior HR's has to see only few dashboards and junior HR's should not see the senior HR's dashbaord in access point.

Please help
