Hello,

I have a sql database that contains a table with some fields. I also have an Excel spreadsheet that contains data and now I want to link them together.

The problem is that my Excel file has no relation data so everything is writting in one sheet:

Excel:

costcenter VG VT ER WW AS ET UT

costcenter1 20 0 15 12 20 0 0
costcenter2 10 0 25 0 12 10 10
costcenter3 40 20 12 0 45 45 0
costcenter4 20 15 0 5 45 0 4
costcenter5 15 0 15 45 12 0 54
costcenter6 10 10 10 10 10 45 45

My SQL db had a table with the fields: costcenter, sort, date, id_bla
The field sort contains data like VG, VT, ER, WW, AS, ET, UT

What I need is to link the data from the excel sheet to the table with the field sort. My Excel file does not have a column named as sort so how can I get these values in the right field?

Hi Richard,

open QlikView, open the script editor, locate your excel table and look in th file wizard for Cross Table.

I've tried the cross table before but I cannot get it working. I dont know what to select to get it linked to the table field sort in the SQL db

Well, now I can link the items to sort

BUT, only when I use a different name for the field costcenter! When the I rename it to get the same name, the script stops (fail to load).

I must connect the costcenter to the costcenter field in de SQL db so what can I do to fix this?
