Filter Date Range from Table script from Oracle DB

Good day!

I am quite new here on qlikview i've been exploring it for less than a week what i am trying to accomplish is to filter my table that grabs data from our database (Oracle). I've been researching for a while i can't seem to find a solution. I've already tried creating variables vStartDate and vEndDate. But i can't seem to reload the data once the user picked the dates. I am trying to do it with a button with Select in Field settings

Field: [TRAN_DT]

Search: '=ORIG_TRAN_DT>=vStartDate and ORIG_TRAN_DT<=vEndDate'

My vStartDate is = to a Calendar Obj and same goes for the vEndDate

I hope someone will be able to help me. I'm kind of a bit stuck for so many hours already.
